And, that said, Mr Peterson advised me that the information given in the novel makes the 007 Breitling much more likely stainless steel than a gold wristwatch model.

Further considering the strong association between Bentley Motors and the Carte Blanche publication, it is even easier to see how the impression of a huge “Breitling for Bentley” watch could be made without concerted pursuit of any one specimen.

So, that’s as far as folks can ever go in narrowing down this James Bond Breitling watch; it’s as far as Jeffery Deaver went, I can report here, having spoken directly with him about it.
